On August 10, 2010 the Office of Administrative Law approved changes to the Workers’ Compensation Posting Guidelines and Claim Form. These changes are effective October 8, 2010.
WHAT HAS CHANGED
DWC 7 (Notice to Employee-Injuries Caused by Work) Posting Notice
- Employers are required to complete information on the Medical Provider Network (MPN) and the Claim Administrator of the MPN.
- Employers can choose to complete the Information and Assistance Office information
MPN posting requirement
- A complete copy of the MPN information must be posted alongside the DWC 7.
- This posting must be in both English and Spanish
DWC 1 (Workers’ Compensation Claim Form and Notice of Potential Eligibility (NOPE))
- MPN information has been added
- Top Sheet -Notice of Potential Eligibility (NOPE) was revised to remove Information regarding Vocational Rehabilitation.
- Employers are required to give the NOPE to the injured employee along with their temporary copy of the DWC 1
Facts about Workers’ Compensation brochures for new hires
- Information regarding vocational rehabilitation has been removed
- MPN information has been added

- Replace DWC-7 Posting Notice to Employees Poster
- Replace DWC-1 Claim Form/NOPE stock
- Replace New Hire Pamphlet Stock
- Update voluntary handouts, i.e. “Facts for Injured Workers” pamphlet
